Centre for Biodiversity & Conservation (CBC) shall undertake advance research and studies in the field of Biological & Environmental aspects with mission statement as under

Mission statement of CBC:

"Protection & Sustainable use of natural resources by the people; keeping high priority in maintaining the ecological balance in various ecological zones of Pakistan. To develop human resources with teaching/research oriented programmes for the degree of Bachelor, Master & Doctorate in defined disciplines/Division".

 

The centre would comprise the following three divisions:

 

1. Floristic Diversity Division.

2. Faunistic Diversity Division.

3. Environmental Sciences Division.

 

Introduction to SLUBGH

The SLUBGH is the component of Centre for Biodiversity & Conservation, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur has emerged as an excellent centre for students and researchers of various disciplines such as Botany, Forestry, Wildlife & Environmental Sciences.

 

Mission Statement for SLUBGH

To depict plant biodiversity of arid regions of Pakistan, riverine forest and weed species associated with crops, to explore the research and education of the biodiversity and conservation and maintain floristic record by developing a Herbarium. It provides inspiration, relaxation and pleasures to visitors of all the ages.
